Basophils Predict Mite Sensitization in Patients with Kawasaki Disease

Background: Patients with Kawasaki disease (KD) are at a significantly increased risk of allergic diseases. Immunoglobulin E (IgE) is an immunoglobulin that mediates sensitization to various allergens and related However, few studies have analyzed specific IgE on allergy biomarkers after KD diagnosed. Objective: This study aimed investigate the pattern levels against food inhalant allergens. Methods: retrospective was conducted in Taiwan identify patients admitted KD. A subset 453 children younger than or equal five years age intravenous (IVIG) followed up our clinic available data. Results: The most common were Dermatophagoides farina pteronyssinus, house-dust, cockroach mix.
